Estas Instalaciones se realizarón entre los años 1995-97. La gran mayoría tuvieron lugar en Central St. Martin's  School of Art and Desing (Londres).

 En "Concha" trabajé con la idea de límite

Al llegar a esta instalación nos encontramos con un espacio aparentemente vacío. Al fondo y en una esquina, apoyada sobre la pared había una gruesa plancha de hierro. Tenía una fila de perforaciones cuadradas y cubiertas con unos trozos de cristal engarzados.Sin embargo este espacio había sido forrado, a modo de piel, de papel de seda blanco. Esto se hacía visible gracias a dos detalles dispuestos en la pared. Una foto enmarcada y cubierta con el papel y  una forma de arco que había sido forrada con el papel y posteriormente arrancada de la pared. 

Shell was based on the idea of limit, taking the interior of the room as the inside and the wall as the outside.

On encountering this installation we found a space apparently empty. On the back wall leaning on a corner there was a thick iron board whith a row of square holes covered with small glassess mounted on a line at the top. However, this space had been lined with white tissue paper. This was not perceptible at first sight and only some details made us aware of the kind of "skin" that covered the space. A photograph under the paper and an arch that had been pinned onto the wall, covered with paper and then torn from the wall.

"Cultural Study" es una reflexión sobre la Cultura

Al llegar a este espacio lo primero que encontramos es un pequeño rincón forrado de papel de seda morado con una rama a forma de báculo apoyada contra la pared. Luego una habitación con el suelo forrado de papel de seda negro. A la entrada de este espacio una verja metálica que dejaba una abertura por la que se accedía a la instalación.Inmediatamente pasada la verja y a mano izquierda encontramos un espejo en un soporte. Este consistía en un armazón metálico compuesto de tres patas con dos brazos (con una vela cada uno) y donde apoyaba una cubeta de hierro con agua. Allí descansaba la parte inferior del espejo. Todo el conjunto se hallaba dentro de un círculo de sal dibujado en el suelo. En la pared de detrás  había clavado un pequeño triángulo de hierro a modo de repisa con un cuenco con agua.

En la pared del fondo había colgado un lienzo blanco con una fila de espejos y libros quemados.  Debajo de él, esparcidas sobre el suelo, cenizas de papel y pigmento azul. Delante de este lienzo una serie de varillas clavadas en el suelo que dispuestas en forma de punta de flecha (una fila paralela a la pared del fondo y la otra en la diagonal del cuarto) impedían el acceso al cuadro.     En la parte derecha y sobre el suelo habia otra pieza formada por un cristal que reposaba sobre dos maderas quemadas. En el cristal, dos pequeñas piezas de hierro servían de apoyo a una barilla de alambre que formaba una especie de puente. Sobre ella había sido derramada, a cierta altura y por goteo, cera de vela.

Cultural Study is a reflection about culture

In this space, the first thing you could see was a small corner lined with purple tissue paper where leaned a tall walking stick. This led to a room whose floor had been covered with black tissue paper. To access the installation it was necessary to enter through a gap left by a metallic structure. Once we entered the installation we found a mirror on a metallic support on the left. This support consisted of a metallic structure with three legs and two arms (with a candle each) which supported an iron container with water and the mirror. The mirror and the support were inside a circle of salt on the floor. Behind the mirror there was a small iron triangular shelf with a bowl of water.

On the back wall hanged a white canvas with a row of small mirrors and burnt books. Just under this there were ashes and blue pigment spread on the floor. Before the canvas and parallel to the wall there were metal sticks pinned to the floor. Another line of sticks had been layed diagonally to the room. Both lines prevented the access to the canvas.On the right there was a glass that leaned on the wall and on two burnt pieces of wood on the floor. On the glass two small pieces of iron supported a wire which formed a small bridge. Candle wax had been dripped on this wire.

"El rastro de la Babosa" reflexiona sobre el hecho de que toda la vida de una babosa, caracol, etc. queda reflejada físicamente en una línea.

Esta instalación consistía en una habitación hecha de papel celo y en cuyo interior se encontraba otra mas pequeña. La primera estaba hecha de una única tira de papel celo y tenía la apariencia de una red. La segunda, formada por paneles de papel celo, colgaba del techo de la primera. En el interior de esta habitación se hallaba una máquina con la cual podíamos escribir sobre el papel celo. De este espacio salía una línea con texto, pegada al suelo, que lo rodeaba. Este texto correspondía a un fragmento del tratado sobre las proporciones del cuerpo humano de Leonardo da Vinci.

The idea is to reflect the fact that the life of a slug is imprinted on an only line.

This installation was a room made of celo-tape in whose interior there was another smaller room. The first room was made with an only stripe of celo-tape and it looked like a net. The second one was made of celo-tape sheets and hanged from the ceiling of the first room. Inside the second room there was a machine to write on the celo-tape. In this space started a line with text stuck to the floor around. The text was a fragment of Leonardo da Vinci's human body's proportions.

"El cuarto oscuro" nos habla de los espacios que construímos con nuestros miedos y en los cuales nos refugiamos

Esta obra se realizó en un espacio que se encuentra entre las escaleras del edificio y los talleres de escultura. Era un lugar de tránsito, que fué modificado. El espectador encontraba así, de manera espontanea, un espacio oscuro que tenía que atravesar.Construí un doble techo de madera a la altura de los marcos de las puertas, de manera  que quedó al alcance de la mano. La iluminación fué así anulada y el cuarto quedó en penumbra. Sirviendome del humo de unas velas pinté toda la superficie del techo. Más tarde con carboncillo pinté las paredes de la habitación al igual que algunos muebles que se encontraban allí.

This installation was about "the dark room" that everybody creates with their own fears and where we live in.

This installation took place in room between the stairs and the workshops of a building. It was a walking space which was modified. The expectator came across this work  unexpectedly, thus being involved spontaneously in a dark space that s/he had to go through.The ceiling was taken down to the door's height  so that it could be touched with the hands. The fluorescents could not be seen and then the room became dark. Then the ceiling was painted with candle smoke and the walls and other objects were covered with charcoal.

En "Espacio Ideal" trabajé sobre la idea del estado interior necesario que nos predispone al conocimiento.

Esta instalación constaba de dos partes. En la primera cubrí el suelo con pliegos de papel de seda negro y los rocié con agua. En una de las paredes, colgé un espejo y en el centro de la habitación coloqué un biombo quemado. En la segunda parte de la instalación cubrí todas las paredes y el techo con plástico transparente. Quité el biombo y puse cuatro montones de libros quemados en el suelo y pegados uno a cada pared. Luego coloqué una losa de piedra en medio del cuarto cerca de la ventana.

The Ideal Space was inspired on the idea of an ideal interior state that helps to open our mind to knowledge

This installation was carried out in two stages. Firstly  the floor was covered with black tissue paper and then water was speyed on it. On one of the walls I hanged a mirror and in the center I put a burnt folding screen.In the second stage I covered the walls and the ceiling with transparent plastic. Then I removed the folding screen  and put four heaps of burnt books on the floor, each leaning on a wall. Then a stone tile was placed in the center of the room.
