La relación que existe entre un objeto y el ser humano es el tema principal de esta serie de trabajos. La contemplación, la proximidad o la posesión de determinados objetos provoca en nosotros sentimientos muy profundos que nos dan fuerzas para sobreponernos a los acontecimientos de  la vida. De esta capacidad de proyectar sobre cualquier cosa sentimientos, creencias y anhelos trata este trabajo.

Un objeto materializa lo abstracto, simboliza una idea y transfiere lo absoluto.

Puede ser reliquia, amuleto, fetiche, símbolo u obra de arte. Puede moverse en el mundo de lo mágico o de lo real pero solo mientras este en relación con lo humano. Necesita de lo humano para poder transcender a su naturaleza de cosa.

The relationship between the object and the human being is the main topic of this series of works. The contemplation, proximity or possession of certain objects provokes profound sentiments which give us the strength to overcome the events of life. We possess the capacity of projecting feelings, beliefs and yearnings over objects which give shape to abstractions, symbolize ideas and materialize the absolute. It may take the form of a relic, amulet, fetish or work of art and can belong to the world of magic or to the real world, but only as long as it keeps its relationship with the person. The capacity of transcending its material reality needs the human being.

Peter Fechter fue la primera víctima del muro de Berlín. Su historia fue especialmente trágica ya que calló herido en tierra de nadie y en ninguno de los dos frentes se atrevieron a rescatarle  dejándole desangrarse hasta la muerte. Esta pieza habla por un lado sobre el muro como símbolo universal y por otro reflexiona sobre como los lugares que históricamente han sido escenarios de verdaderas tragedias humanas terminan convirtiéndose en atracciones turísticas.

Peter Fetcher was the first victim of the Berlin wall. His story is particularly tragic since, on trying to pass through, he fell wounded in nobody's land and neither of the armies dared rescue him, abandoning him bleeding to death. This piece deals with two topics. On the one hand it explores the meaning of the  Berlin wall as a universal symbol; on  the other, it expresses a reflection on how historically relevant sites that have witnessed true human catastrophic events become tourist attractions with time.

Esta pieza esta inspirada en una viñeta de el Roto. Habla sobre el anhelo de avanzar, de alejarse y de volar. De todo aquello que nos fija a un lugar impidiéndonos explorar lo lejano y de la angustia del que queriendo moverse permanece inmóvil.

This work is inspired on a newspaper cartoon by the Spanish cartoonist 'El Roto'. It deals with the idea of a longing for moving forward, for going far and for flying. Metaphorically, it explores the forces that keep us attached to a place, thus preventing our exploration of the far horizons, and also the anguish of those who keep immobile despite their desire to move on.
